Craig Kirby is President and CEO of the RV Industry Association.
Good afternoon Members,
I’m certainly not going to pretend we don’t face significant challenges. Geopolitical instability, inflation at levels we haven’t seen in decades and supply chain continues to feel like a weekly game of whack-a-mole. Despite this, our industry has showcased its unique ability to adapt and innovate. I’m confident that 2022 will be one of our best years ever, and that we will continue to see RV manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and campgrounds work together to meet the ongoing demand for RVs and provide consumers the experience they expect and deserve.
I know that I have said this before, but when I speak to my optimism, I do so with the knowledge that despite the ebbs and flows that happen from year to year and decade to decade, the truth is the RV industry has been riding a wave of more than 40 years of long-term growth. Today, the interest in the outdoors has never been stronger. People across the country continue to reevaluate what is truly important to them – and many are seeking ways to strike a better work/life balance with a passionate desire to live a more active outdoor lifestyle. As spring soon turns to summer, millions of Americans will be getting outdoors again, so let’s continue driving consumers towards camping and RVing – and creating authentic experiences they will remember, share with friends, and cherish forever.
The RV Industry Association team and I look forward to working with all of you to turn our challenges into opportunities, and we truly appreciate your support. Wishing you and your families a wonderful Easter weekend.
Best,
Craig
