Elkhart County-based inTech Trailers is planning to add 60 jobs and expand its Nappanee operations.
The aluminum trailer manufacturer says it will invest $1.7 million into a new facility to handle a motorsports production line, according to a news release Wednesday (Aug. 10).
inTech currently employs 80 and says the new jobs are expected to pay 40 percent higher than the average job in the state, Inside Indiana Business reports. The new 42,000 square-foot facility will be built on 3.5 acres next to its current campus. It will include new production, welding, crane and hydraulic equipment. The company recently created an RV manufacturing arm, and plans to exhibit its camper trailers during Open House Week.
The company expects to begin adding production and office staff in January.

The company has been offered up to $450,000 in conditional incentives from the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
inTech Trailers, which currently employs 80 full-time associates, plans to begin hiring production and office support associates in January, with new positions expected to pay on average nearly 40 percent more than the state’s average wage.
