Elkhart Unemployment Bumps Slightly

Elkhart County’s unemployment rate rose in January, as the number of unemployed individuals also jumped, according to the Elkhart Truth.

The county’s unemployment rate was 3.4 percent for the month of January, a four-tenths percent increase from the rate of 3 percent in December, according to statistics released by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

The county’s unemployment rate was the second lowest of Indiana’s 92 counties, only trailing Hamilton County’s unemployment rate of 3.3 percent, the Truth reported.
