EmergencyRV Helps Families Who Lost Homes in Texas Floods

Corey Jones and Spencer Offenbacker are celebrating a new beginning after EmergencyRV gifted them a new home, a report from WOAI News 4 San Antonio said. The couple’s previous residence was destroyed during the July Fourth flooding.
“We were just gifted an RV, a beautiful RV,” said Jones.
Recalling the harrowing experience, Jones described the uncertainty they faced as the floodwaters rose.
“When you’re on the roof being pelted by rain and the waters rising around you and you’re thinking what are we gonna do if the water gets here, and you have to look at each other in uncertainty and say it’s gonna be OK, even when we didn’t think it’s gonna be OK,” she said.
Despite the loss of their home, Jones expressed gratitude for the new RV. “This will give them a safe space,” she said, referring to her children.
Woody Faircloth and his daughter Luna Faircloth, cofounders of EmergencyRV, have provided over 300 RVs to families affected by natural disasters across the country. “Most recently in Western North Carolina after terrible flooding,” said Faircloth.
Upon learning of the deadly flooding in Kerr County, the Faircloths arrived in the Hill Country with RVs donated by supporters. “We’ve gotten all types of RVs from mobile homes to travel trailers, to fifth wheels, anything that’s in good working order, we will accept into the program,” Faircloth said.
