Anderson

Equal-i-zer Hitch is congratulating Jed Anderson, CEO, on 30 years with the company.

In its 80 years of business, Equal-i-zer has accumulated many seasoned employees who have intensive industry knowledge and brought success to the company and to dealers and users of their products. Much of the recognition for attracting and keeping the talent at the company belongs to Jed Anderson, Equal-i-zer said, who created a culture of integrity, improvement and industry. Anderson’s unique leadership style led to employee retention, which created a talented, experienced team.

Thirty years ago, Jed Anderson joined the company. In those years, he has held many positions, from shipping, to manufacturing, to engineering, to sales and marketing.

“Starting my career at the family business over 30 years ago was a wonderful blessing,” said Anderson. “Becoming owner, president and CEO gave me, with our team, the opportunity to push our products further than they had ever been before. It is very satisfying to know that by combining sway control into the weight distribution hitch, we revolutionized the hitch industry.

“The superior design and safety of the Equal-i-zer and e2 hitch has protected countless individuals and families in their travels,” Anderson said. “This has helped families enjoy the RV journey with a stress-free towing experience. There is great satisfaction in providing the only weight distribution and sway control hitch that is 100% made in America. We have a great team of capable individuals innovating and working hard right here in Provo, Utah, to manufacture and provide the best hitch you can buy. I am thankful that for thirty years I have been a part of supplying jobs that provide for local families and build this great country we call home.”

Leaders at Equal-i-zer Hitch have appreciated the way Anderson has led the company. Long-term colleagues Josh Binks (24 years) and Rich Elliott (27 years) spoke to Anderson’s leadership style.

“One thing I really appreciate about Jed, is that he has ran Progress ‘the right way’ for 30 years,” said Josh Binks, CFO.  “I don’t think many CEOs do that anymore. He has led the company with integrity. He has treated employees, customers, and vendors with respect, and he believes in honoring his commitments to all of them. He truly cares about employees and their families. One part of our company’s mission statement is to ‘leave a legacy of good,’ and Jed has definitely done that during his time at Progress. A company’s culture starts at the top, and Jed has created a wonderful company culture that has helped the company and its people thrive.”

“I have been lucky to work with Jed for so many years,” said Rich Elliott, VP of sales and marketing. “Jed is an amazing leader and an even better person. He truly cares about people. Jed’s example of caring for others has set the tone for our company for 30 years.  I appreciate Jed’s work ethic, humor, integrity and wisdom.  His consistent and unwavering approach to people and business has created a company culture that is second to none. Thanks, Jed, and congrats!”

“With a long list of accomplishments, decades of service, and a drive to make Equal-i-zer Hitch the safest, best-performing hitch in the world, Anderson has created a legacy,” the company said. “Employees and leadership join together to congratulate and thank Anderson for providing exceptional guidance, strategy, and support for three decades, and look forward to upholding the culture Anderson has created.”
