Exclusive: Alliance Continues in Growth Mode

Alliance RV has barely paused to take a breath since opening its Elkhart, Ind., manufacturing plant in late 2019.

In January, the company began production in what it calls Plant No. 2, according to Bill Martin, Alliance’s vice president of customer experience. That’s the company’s second manufacturing facility – both are approximately 120,000 square feet – and that move also allowed for the expansion of its parts and service department, which recently “more than doubled” in size, Martin said.

“We just opened up our second production facility so now we have two fully-functioning production facilities, and to make sure that we are providing that best RV ownership experience, the service department is integral to that,” Martin said. “So, as our unit volume increases, we are working very hard to stay ahead of that in both the parts and customer service arenas, to make sure that we are staffed and have the space available to take good care of our customers and our dealer partners.”

At its launch, the company was targeting the luxury fifth-wheel market with its Paradigm line. Then in October 2020, Alliance rolled out the Valor, its entry into the toy hauler market. Today, the company offers seven floorplans for the Paradigm and four for the Valor.

Plans are to have Paradigm and the Valor each have their own dedicated manufacturing facility.

And there’s more growth in the works, Martin said.

“We actually have a third building that the steel has been erected on and that will be for our lamination facility, to increase the capacity there,” he said, adding that its new 120,000-square-foot dedicated lamination facility is expected to be up and running this summer.

And if all of this adding on and expanding makes it sound like the company might be running out of elbow room, think again. With an eye down the road on future growth, the company established itself on a roomy 112-acre campus on the eastern edge of Elkhart.
