Mick and Lora Ferkey of Greeneway Inc. (a Route 66 Dealer in Wisconsin) made a $1,000 donation to the RV Learning Center, bringing their lifetime contribution to $19,850, according to an RVDA news release.
“As a co-chairman of the Society of Certified RV Professionals, I believe in educating all service staff: service and parts managers, service writers, warranty administrators and technicians,” Mick Ferkey said. “Not only does this give the staff the tools to succeed, but it helps give customers an excellent service experience from beginning to end. Knowing the importance of those factors, I wonder that anyone wouldn’t see why it is so vital to donate to the Learning Center.”
The RV Learning Center kicked off its annual fundraising campaign during the RV Dealers International Convention/Expo, the premier education event for dealers in North America.
“The Ferkeys’ regular and continuing support of the RV Learning Center shows their commitment to improving and growing our industry,” said RV Learning Center Chairman of the Board Jeff Pastore of Hartville RV Center in Hartville, Ohio. “We know their contribution will advance professionalism in our businesses, expand educational opportunities for RV retail employees, and ultimately improve customer satisfaction. This is how an educated workforce grows the RV lifestyle.”
Donations to the RV Learning Center fund important resources including the newly revised 11th Edition of the Service Management Guide. Contributions also make it possible to provide dealer webinars on current topics, training and certification for dealership staff, essential publications and learning guides, and the Convention/Expo.
The Society of Certified RV Professionals is another dealer benefit made possible by the Learning Center’s donors.
