Firefly Reservations Launches New ‘Day Use’ Feature

Firefly Reservations, a leading online reservation and property management platform for campgrounds, RV parks and outdoor destinations, announced the launch of its new Day Use Feature: a feature enhancement that allows parks to manage single-day bookings alongside traditional overnight bookings.

Designed for parks that offer pavilions, day passes, event spaces or recreation rentals, the new feature expands Firefly’s capabilities beyond camping stays and helps owners capture additional revenue opportunities, and streamline policy usage, guest management, communications and reporting.

“Many of our customers were already offering activities like tube rentals, golf cart rentals or event spaces, but managing them took workarounds,” said Loren Samuelson, director of customer experience, Firefly Reservations. “The new Day Use feature gives them the same seamless, automated experience they’ve come to expect from Firefly, whether their guests stay for a night or just for the day.”

With Day Use, property owners can:

  • Accept and manage single-day reservations directly within their existing Firefly system
  • Customize pricing, policies and add-ons to match their operations
  • Simplify reporting and operations by managing day-use and overnight reservations in one place

The feature aims to support campgrounds, RV parks, marinas and event venues that want to expand their business beyond overnight camping and can do this now with community events, day passes or seasonal attractions.

“Firefly Reservations is a customer-led product. We work to prioritize features that our customers are asking for and need,” said Samuelson. “Day Use makes it even easier for parks to offer more ways for guests to enjoy their property, and for staff to manage it all with ease.”

The Day Use feature is available now to all Firefly Reservations customers. A full overview and setup guide can be found in the company’s Knowledge Base.
