The first trailer – a Salem Cruise Lite – rolled out of Forest River’s new Hemet, Calif., manufacturing plant earlier this week, the Hemet Press Enterprise reported.
The Southern California plant is a former Skyline RV factory that Forest River began moving into after the company bought the facility late last year.
The plant employs 80 people, and General Manager Ty Miller hopes to double that in the future.
“We’re here to employ people,” Miller told the Press Enterprise.
