Florida Man Writes $246,000 Bad Check for RV
Florida’s Hillsborough County deputies are asking for help finding a man who they say wrote a bad check to pay for a $246,000 Winnebago RV.
This story originally appeared on WFLA News 8.
Detectives say on June 26, Robert Shneider, 59, wrote a check to Lazydays in Seffner, Fla. Shneider wrote a check for $246,445.51 to buy a 2014 Winnebago motor home.
Schneider left the lot with the motor home, but once the business tried to process the check, it was returned to them.
On Thursday, Sept. 13, a warrant was issued for Schneider’s arrest for First Degree Grand Theft.
Detectives have followed leads and checked numerous campgrounds to try to find the stolen motorhome that was last reportedly seen in Hollywood, Fla.
Anyone who locates the motorhome or Schneider should contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.
