The Northeast Florida Chapter of the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) has donated $2,500 to the Legacy Law Enforcement Foundation – a nonprofit that provides additional support to local law enforcement.

FRVTA Region 6 has directed the funding to be used to support injured law enforcement employees and officers.

“Our dealers feel strongly about giving back to nonprofit agencies in northeast Florida, especially when it comes the first responders who do so much in our community,” said Northeast Florida FRTVA Board President Ken Loyd.

“We appreciate this donation from our local RV dealers that we can use to provide further help to our local law enforcement personnel,” said foundation board president Glenn Morningstar.

Made up of area RV dealers, accessory companies and campground representatives in the region, FRVTA Region 6 has contributed more than $70,000 in community donations over the last three years.

The donation will be used by the foundation to support injured local law enforcement employees and officers.

The Legacy Law Enforcement Foundation’s mission is to provide training and education, equipment, and technology to reduce crime, increase officer safety, generate better community relations, and assist in law enforcement’s efforts to protect and serve the citizens of the community.
