FMCA Rally Underway in Wyoming
Nearly 1,000 RV owners from across the country are expected in Gillette, Wyoming, this week for the 107th FMCA International Convention and RV Expo. The event starts Wednesday and goes through Saturday.
The event has been dubbed “Celebrating Sixty” in recognition of FMCA’s 60th anniversary this year. The August gathering will mark FMCA’s fourth event at CAM-PLEX. FMCA’s first event there took place in 2013, as the association was celebrating its 50th anniversary. The most recent FMCA RV owners get-together at that site occurred in July 2021.
The rally’s expo will include the latest RV models and accessories, along with different products and services. It’s open to anyone, not just FMCA members.
More than 100 educational sessions will give motorhome owners information about their homes on wheels, with topics ranging from tire maintenance to microwave-convection cooking. Since FMCA is an international organization, RV trips to Alaska and New Zealand/Australia will be presented.
, according to an FMCA press release. Local RV owners are invited to join in the rally where a new community pops up “almost overnight.”
“CAM-PLEX and Gillette have become a favorite gathering place for FMCA members,” FMCA CEO Chris Smith said. “And we’re looking forward to this return visit. The facilities are great, and the community rolls out the red carpet for FMCA. Plus, the location is fantastic. Gillette is a great destination in itself, and it’s also close to Devils Tower National Monument and midway between Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore.”
