Former Westin Automotive president and CEO David Sharp, who retired from the company last year after 35 years, has died, the company announced Thursday (Feb. 24).
Sharp, 64, joined Westin in 1979, serving in several positions over the years, including corporate controller, vice president of finance, vice president, general manager, president, chief operating officer and CEO. He retired in 2015.
“David Sharp’s leadership was an instrumental part of Westin’s growth and reputation for over 30 years,” Westin President and CEO Bob West said. “Everyone at Westin will miss him and I will especially miss his friendship and loyalty. His memory will be with us always.”
Funeral Services will take place Saturday (Feb. 27) in Brea, Calif.
