The Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) has sent out a notice that there’s still time to register for the 37th Annual FRVTA State Convention being held from Sept. 7 to 10.

This year FRVTA returns to the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach (just south of Jacksonville, Fla.) for its “New Frontier” theme to discuss meeting new customer expectations, staffing needs, and legal requirements.

The convention opens with the “Launch Pad” welcoming reception on Thursday evening. This reception will include a spray paint artist creating stunning space scenes. Afterwards, attendees can visit the “Area 51” hospitality room to unwind and relax with fellow industry professionals from around the state and country.

Friday morning begins Hall of Fame keynote speaker Jason Hewlett who will deliver an inspiring message on keeping “The Promise.”

Next up is RVDA President Phil Ingrassia and RVIA President Frank Hugelmeyer who will give their respective RV industry update. This session is not to be missed to obtain a unique insight from both the dealer and manufacturer perspectives.

Rounding out Friday’s morning session will be a legislative guest who will provide a keen insight into Florida’s political workings. Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture, Adam Putnam, will make a special appearance. An announced republican candidate for next year’s governor’s race, Putnam has served Florida in a variety of governmental capacities. There will also be the “Black Hole” golf outing on Friday before the “Space Odyssey” costume/dinner party.

Saturday morning the breakout sessions will offer specific information to attendees in smaller, more intimate classroom settings. Tom Walworth, of Statistical Surveys covers the “Keys to Success” with Allen Monello of the Automotive Industry Center for Excellence covering “Are You In the Right Form.” Sheree Rotterman, from Ally Academy Trainer, will provide insights on hiring the dream job candidate, while personal and business safety experts Sara and Jason Ryan offer timely personal safety instructions.

Following the morning of in-depth learning and insights will be the “Houston We Have a Problem” gameshow luncheon. The convention wraps up that evening with the “To Infinity and Beyond” awards banquet and silent auction. The silent auction benefits the FRVPC Fund and will feature such items as weekend getaways, iPads, e-readers, Apple Watches and Disney gift certificates.

There are still a few sponsorship opportunities, and FRVTA is still taking prize donations for the silent auction and the gameshow luncheon.
