At the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind., the 21,000-square-foot building is finished and the design phase for the interior is currently underway
If you or your company would like to donate and forever be recognized as a founder, the deadline is Oct. 31. Several months ago the Hall started a capital campaign to raise $2,000,000 dollars, a budget it said is adequate in allowing for an experience that is truly an asset to the manufactured housing industry. It has been overwhelmingly successful, and organizers are getting close to hitting that goal.
Designers of the new wing have described it this way: “The museum will begin with a stroll through time as guests will learn about the evolution from covered wagon to the state-of-the-art homes that are built today. Along with a ‘Disney quality’ environment, this museum will feature actual full size MH units ranging from 1929 to present day … and will even include a ‘home of the future.” Several immersive/interactive displays will also be included in an effort to teach our guests about all of the advantages of purchasing a factory built home and how this industry will be an integral component to fulfilling housing needs for the future of mankind. Affordability, attainability, and community culture will be key ingredients in the education we want our customers to receive.”
