Furrion Boosts Staff Amid Growth

Furrion, an innovator in consumer electronics, appliances and energy solutions for recreational vehicles, residential, yachts and hotels is adding several key positions to its rapidly growing team in its U.S. headquarters, the Innovation Center and Institute of Technology in Elkhart.

Since opening the ICIT in May 2017, Furrion has continued its unprecedented growth in the industry, increasing its staff by more than 40 percent in the past year.

In April, Furrion held a two-week showcase for customers unveiling its new luxury showroom designed to showcase Furrion’s latest products for mobile and sustainable living, home and business. Furrion received an overwhelmingly positive response from its customers which has only fueled the need for additional sales, marketing and engineering staff.

“This past year has been another incredible one for Furrion with growth of more than 150 percent,” said Aaron Fidler, co-founder and chief executive officer for Furrion. “With the multitude of exciting new products and sales channels we are launching into, we are seeking exceptional candidates to join our team here at the ICIT.”

Furrion is adding leadership sales positions for RV / motorhomes, aftermarket, marine and the automotive / truck divisions. Additionally, Furrion is adding new positions to the engineering and marketing department to accommodate the growth.

As part of its showcase, Furrion unveiled its new 9L Gas Water Heater – one of the most efficient on-demand hot water systems on the market.

This new gas water heater saves consumers a considerable amount of energy and money versus that of a conventional water tank and eliminates the dreaded fear of a cold shower because the hot water ran out, according to Furrion.

“Our new gas water heater brings an increased level of efficiency and peace of mind to travelers,” said Matt Fidler, co-founder and chief marketing officer for Furrion. “There is nothing worse than being on a trip and someone gets a cold shower. Now with hot water on demand, as long as there is water left in the reservoir you can be assured of a hot shower, just like at home. We always strive to bring innovation to the market that makes life easier and is smarter at the same time. By swapping out a conventional water heater with our new 9L gas water heater customers will reduce their energy consumption and cost which is a good thing for them and the environment.”

The Furrion 9L Gas Water Heater has a 40 percent higher capacity than competitor models on the market and heats nine liters of water per minute ensuring a constant supply of hot water. Offering on-demand hot water with a consistent water temperature that the consumer can set and control via the sleek thermostat. Unlike standard water heaters that heat in 15-degree increments, Furrion’s 9L Gas Water Heater gives consumers the flexibility to adjust the temperature in five-degree increments and the water temperature can be set as high as 124 degrees Fahrenheit. The thermostat intelligently displays the water temperature, the time, and pressure level, complete with a pressure alarm that alerts you when the pressure is low.

The gas water heater has been engineered with advanced safety features including a pressure relief valve, over temperature protection, blower block protection and an automatic shutoff if a problem presents itself. Advanced engineering creates a vortex pattern inside the water mixing chamber to eliminate high temp fluctuations to drastically reduce the risk of hot water scolding when multiple water outlets are in use.

Adding more convenience for consumers, the Furrion 9L Gas Water Heater was designed to fit where the current six-gallon conventional water heater sits in most RVs. This allows consumers to upgrade to a more efficient and dependable system with minimal hassle and with no additional retrofitting. It features an easy access drain, so consumers can quickly drain the water from the heat exchanger for prolonged winter storage of their RV.
