Furrion Opens European HQ

Furrion on Wednesday established its first office in the United Kingdom and has appointed Jim McEwan as its new vice president and country manager for the U.K.

This announcement comes at an opportune time, as the company is experiencing unprecedented growth, including the expansion into Europe in multiple product categories. Most recently Furrion left its mark on the European RV community when it unveiled its latest in appliances, audio visual, observation and energy solutions designed and engineered for caravans at Caravan Salon, including the latest in the line – all-in-one combination cooktop oven – specially designed and configured for the European market.

“We’ve seen extraordinary growth this year with bringing the Furrion brand into Europe and we’re excited to establish an office in the U.K. to manage this growth,” said Furrion co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Aaron Fidler. “We are fortunate to have Jim on board to lead this and we look forward to his experience and leadership in guiding the growth of this new office.” McEwan brings a wealth of experience in product strategy, sales and team management coupled with his expertise in the European business channels making him the perfect choice to lead the U.K. office.

McEwan will be based in the company’s U.K. office and will focus on setting up and establishing the Furrion business in the UK and the expansion into Europe. The office looks to grow in staff 10-fold in the coming year. The U.K. office will house sales, marketing, human resources, logistics, service, quality and finance roles all supported centrally by Furrion’s global headquarters in Hong Kong.

McEwan comes to Furrion from Whirlpool, where as sales director as part of the EMEA team he was instrumental in the introduction of new policies that helped develop and streamline processes and departments within the organization. McEwan has a strong background working in the consumer goods industry, with vast experience in business planning, marketing management, retail, and sales operations. His strong sales experience and management style is what made him the stand out candidate for the Furrion vice president and country manager position.

“I am thrilled to become part of the Furrion team as I see the impressive reaction when people are introduced to the brand’s design and innovation,” said McEwan.  “With growing a business, every day brings a different challenge and I enjoy the diversity of this role as it mirrors the diversity of the Furrion business. It is exciting to be part of a team that has a genuine desire to succeed and the plans to make it a reality. I look forward to helping Furrion continue to make its mark on Europe.”
