Writing for automotivenews.com, Bogdan Popa published a review of Garmin’s new GPS system.

We live during awkward times, and since social distancing has become a recommendation that experts across the world keep insisting on, the popularity of campers and trailers has skyrocketed lately.

Garmin quickly noticed this growing appetite for RVs and towable trailers, so the company has been hard at work on a GPS navigator specifically built with these vehicles in mind.

Enter RV 1090, a new GPS unit that comes with the largest screen on an RV, as it boasts a 10-inch edge-to-edge touchscreen display with support for both portrait and landscape views.

Needless to say, the new RV 1090 comes with a feature pack that existing Garmin customers would find rather familiar, including custom RV routing. Thanks to this capability, customers can configure the size and the weight of the camper or trailer and, therefore, be provided with appropriate routes.

This means you won’t end up on super-tight roads, and Garmin says drivers would also be provided with road warnings concerning sharp curves and steep grades.
