General RV Center Adding 15th Supercenter in 2024
General RV Center said it will open a new store in South Weber, Utah, in 2024. The new location, approximately 30 miles north of Salt Lake City, will be General RV Center’s 15th supercenter.
“We are thrilled to continue our growth in Utah and serve even more campers across the Southwest,” said Chris Davis, General RV’s vice president of finance. “We are excited to bring our industry-leading purchase, delivery and ownership experiences to future and current RV owners.”
General RV Center plans to break ground this summer to start construction on a 65,000-square-foot facility. The new building will have 30 service bays, including a body shop, and is expected to open in the fall of 2024.
General RV Center currently owns and operates 14 supercenters across seven states: Michigan, Florida, Utah, Illinois, Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The company opened its first Utah store, in Draper, in 2009. Last year, the Draper superstore was recognized as the leading RV dealer in Salt Lake City, according to Statistical Survey Inc.
“We are excited for the opportunity to expand General RV to more Utah communties,” said Robert Jensen, managing partner of General RV’s Draper location. “After getting my start in the RV business with my father at Blaine Jensen & Sons RV, I couldn’t be more proud to bring the family-business values at the core of General RV to northern Utah.”
