General RV Center, a family-owned RV retailer based in Michigan, opens its new location in Tampa, Fla., on March 11.

The ceremony begins with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.

Consumers will enjoy touring the hundreds of motor homes, travel trailers and fifth wheels on display, and browsing the wide selection of parts and accessories in the new state-of-the-art super center.

The celebration continues through Sunday, March 15.

The Tampa-area super center is located at 13396 East U.S. Highway 92, off Interstate 4, and will serve the entire region as an RV destination. People traveling can easily stop in for service, parts and accessories, or to view the newest RVs on the market.

“RVing is more popular now than ever before,” said Dennis Anderson, General RV spokesperson. “Our new super center store will be an excellent resource for people looking for RV service, accessories or buying their first – or third – RV.”

RV shipments, both towable and motorized, reached 356,735 units nationally for 2014, a gain of 11 percent over 2013. The first month of 2015 shows no sign of sales slowing down, with a dramatic increase of nearly 12 percent in RV sales, according to the RV Industry Association. Florida is one of the top destinations for RV deliveries in the country – behind California, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

General RV Center, headquartered in Michigan, has been in the RV business more than 50 years. With its new location in Tampa, the privately held company will have 11 RV dealerships nationally.

General RV provides RV parts, same-day service, a large rental fleet, RV insurance and financing, and more. Call 888-436-7578 or visit for more information.
