Genesis Products announced its Qwel Acoustic Ceiling Tiles won the Jury Award for Best Ceiling Product in the Architizer A+ Awards.
Made of sustainable PET fibers and recycled materials, Qwel tiles are an eco-friendly, easy-to-install solution to deliver bold style and deep calm to spaces, the company said. Qwel designer acoustic tiles make architectural PET solutions more attainable with options that make a statement and naturally manage sound.
The Architizer A+ Products winners were selected out of hundreds of entries based on aesthetics, performance and impact. Selected by an illustrious jury of more than 200 practicing architects and designers from around the world, the awards consisted of 39 categories with five finalists chosen in each category. Only one winner was selected for the Jury prize in each category. The judging included aesthetics relevant to the design environment; performance, including innovative use of materials; and impact on both the environment and potential to embrace new technologies and design practices.

Qwel ceiling tiles are constructed from 100% non-woven PET fibers and up to 50% recycled materials. The tiles provide outstanding acoustic performance without chemical after-treatments and are 100% recyclable. Durable and lightweight, each Qwel tile is thermoformed for lifelong shape retention and are a perfect solution for new construction or upgrading existing spaces. The washable tiles are dust and shakeout-free, stain, mold- and mildew-resistant.
Qwel tiles are available in eight profiles and six colors that leverage shape psychology to enhance workplace affordances to improve productivity and wellbeing, Genesis said.
