Giving Tuesday: Support the Industry

On Giving Tuesday, take a break from holiday shopping and check out the numerous RV industry organizations that would greatly benefit from contributions:

Make a lasting impact by contributing to the Kevin Phillips Scholarship, a noble initiative named in honor of a dedicated RV industry leader. This scholarship serves as a gateway for individuals seeking to embark on a fulfilling career as RV technicians. By covering the costs of an individual subscription for RV technician training at the RV Technical Institute (RVTI), the scholarship alleviates the financial burden for new high school graduates, military veterans, and those who have chosen a different path than traditional college education.

Entering the workforce or transitioning from the military is challenging, and training costs can be a significant obstacle. The Kevin Phillips Scholarship not only provides vital financial assistance to aspiring technicians but also addresses the pressing need for skilled professionals in the RV industry.

Join RVTI on Giving Tuesday to make a difference, one scholarship at a time. If you’d like to help support the RV industry with a tax-deductible donation to 501(c)3 RV Technical Institute, please use our pledge form, call (800) 664-0154 or email the team at RVTI-info@rvti.org. Donations are accepted via checks or credit cards.

Make a year-end tax-deductible donation to the Mike Molino RV Learning Center and invest in improving continuing education at RV dealerships.

Earlier this year, the RV Learning Center established a Legacy Fund to honor the late Dan Pearson, CEO of PleasureLand RV Centers. The fund honors Pearson’s memory and longtime industry service. PleasureLand RV Centers has pledged a $25,000 matching gift, which will provide a dollar-for-dollar match for each donation received to the Pearson Legacy Fund until the $25,000 amount is reached.

In 2023, RV Learning Center fixed operations online course enrollments for the current term grew 200% over the previous year to more than 400 participants. With continued industry support, that momentum can continue into 2024.

By investing in the RV Learning Center, dealership staff have access to industry best practices which can improve employee retention, attract new hires and generate customer loyalty.

“Being a part of the RV Learning Center has changed my life,” said Anna Freeman of Greeneway RV in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. “Keep learning, support the RV Learning Center, and take the next step in your career.”

Some of us have had an incredible year, while others, unfortunately, have not.

Instead, their lives were filled with fear and abuse until they found safety and support at YWCA North Central Indiana – an Elkhart-area-based program that provides resources to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and racism.

If you are considering making a donation today, which being “Giving Tuesday” is a global day of charitable giving that transforms the impact of nonprofit organizations, you are humbly asked to consider selecting Care Camps, a national nonprofit organization that funds medically supervised pediatric oncology camps across the United States and Canada.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, everything changes. Normalcy unfortunately becomes doctors’ appointments, medical treatments, medication regimes and more. And, in the midst of it all, something magical happens when these children and their families spend time at the camps we fund. This is why Care Camp exists.

Every dollar counts and makes a big difference for children living with cancer. Donate here or scan the QR code below.
