Germany-based Goldschmitt has announced that it is offering new CamperPLUS chassis packages for lightweight campervans, specifically for the Fiat Ducato as well as for the identically- designed models from Citroën and Peugeot. These packages make the dynamic Italian vehicle and its French counterparts more comfortable and safer, the company said.
CamperPLUS+ complete packages were designed especially for lightweight vehicles and recently became available in the “EvoBasic” and “EvoSmart” versions. Both versions include RouteComfort Evo front axle optimization, and the new comfort suspension struts are equipped with an automatic damper control, which adapts to road surface roughness. This technology, which is controlled by the flow and pressure conditions in the shock absorber, provides even more comfortable damping during smooth driving, but also ensures extremely stable and safe driving behavior during intense movement of the vehicle body, according to Goldschmitt.
Depending on the package, the rear axle will use coil springs (EvoBasic) or air springs (EvoSmart), which are additionally installed on the leaf-sprung rear axle and provide a greater amount of ride comfort and safety.
The new CamperPLUS packages are available for the Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer starting from model year 2006 and, depending on the version, cost $1,392 (1,169.00 EUR) for the EvoBasic or $2,142 (1,799.00 EUR) for the EvoSmart.
