Good Housekeeping’s 2024 Family Travel Awards spotlighted two companies in the RV/camping industry: RVshare and Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts.

RVshare, the peer-to-peer RV booking platform, was named as a winner in the “Best for Getting There & Getting Around” category. Over 60% of RVshare’s inventory allows for RV delivery and set up at the destination, which has become an increasingly popular amenity, it said.

“RVshare is honored to have been recognized for the second year by Good Housekeeping’s coveted Family Travel Awards,” said RVshare CEO Jon Gray. “Our company has been consuming and admiring the outlet’s travel insights and expertise for several years, and we are humbled to be congratulated for our commitment to family travel. One of RVshare’s main priorities is and always will be making RV travel more accessible to families, so that guests of all ages can explore and experience the joys of the great outdoors. We will continue to uplift this sentiment and value as we move forward in an ever-changing industry and strive to remain a leader in the outdoor travel space.”

According to RVshare’s recently launched 2024 Travel Trend Report, travelers’ interest in RVing is pressing on. While nearly 90% of Americans surveyed are planning to travel in 2024 at least as much as they did this year, if not more, almost 60% claim to already be organizing a road trip or vacation in an RV in the next 12 months.

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts was also named a winner of the 2024 Family Travel Awards in the “All-Star Campgrounds” category.

Additionally, three of its locations recently earned Park of the Year honors from OHI, formerly the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC).

Good Housekeeping sent testers to multiple Jellystone Park locations. This is the second straight year Jellystone Park has been recognized by Good Housekeeping. It was recognized in the 2023 awards in the “Super-Fun Camp-Resort” category.

Earlier this year, Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts in Mill Run, Pennsylvania, Burleson, Texas, and Pelahatchie, Mississippi, were ranked among the top six RV parks in the United States in USATODAY’s 10Best 2023 Readers’ Choice competition.

“We are thrilled to see our franchisees being recognized by such esteemed organizations as Good Housekeeping and OHI,” said Rob Schutter, president of franchiser Camp Jellystone. “They have worked tirelessly to provide families great entertainment experiences that create lasting memories, and they accomplished it in a very challenging environment.”

This week, Jellystone Park announced the winners of its 2023 awards, presented at its annual brand Symposium in Knoxville, Tennessee. Jellystone Park Pine Lakes in Pittsfield, Illinois, received the Camp-Resort of the Year award, Camp Jellystone’s highest honor. It goes to the park that best exemplifies the brand’s high standards. Recipients must have earned a score of 95% or higher on their annual facilities and operations assessment, and must also have achieved strong growth in business, implemented sustained improvements and be industry leaders.
