Grand Design RV announced the introduction of its all-new Worry-Free Roof, now available on Momentum and Momentum G-Class fifth wheels and travel trailers, in addition to the Solitude, Influence and Foundation models. Built for strength, longevity and peace of mind, the Worry-Free Roof represents a major step forward in roof design, raising the bar for durability and water resistance across the industry, Grand Design said in a release.
Innovation has always been central to the Grand Design philosophy. That mindset drove the development of a roof engineered to remove common failure points, the company said. Rather than relying on multiple decking panels sealed together, where seams can crack, shift and leak over time, the Worry-Free Roof is formed from a single piece, seamlessly eliminating joints and vulnerabilities.
“At Grand Design, we don’t innovate for innovation’s sake. We innovate to make ownership better,” said Rob Groover, general manager of Solitude, Influence and Momentum. “The Worry-Free Roof was designed to solve real problems owners face. By building the roof as one continuous structure, we’ve dramatically improved durability and reduced long-term maintenance concerns.”
Strength doesn’t stop at the surface. Beneath the seamless exterior, the Worry-Free Roof is constructed using marine-grade materials, including high strength fiberglass. This advanced composition delivers exceptional impact resistance, standing up to hail, falling branches and other hazards, Grand Design said.
Just as critical as strength is how the roof manages water over the life of the RV. Traditional roof designs depend on exposed edge sealants that require ongoing inspection and reapplication. The Worry-Free Roof removes that burden by replacing self-leveling sealants with automotive grade gaskets, minimizing maintenance and maximizing protection, the company said.
“We know our customers want to spend their time traveling and camping, not worrying about annual roof upkeep,” Groover added. “Eliminating exposed sealants and integrating a smart water-shedding design helps ensure the roof performs year after year.”
