Last week Gulf Stream Coach hosted its first-ever Vista & Vintage Cruiser Rally at the Gulf Stream country club facilities in Nappanee, Indiana.

There were over 100 customers present with their Vista or Vintage Cruiser in every size and color, Gulf Stream Coach said in a release. The country club has hosted numerous customer events and one-day rallies over the years, but this is the first time it has been converted to a large campground to allow Vista and Vintage customers to stay for four nights.

The Vista and Vintage Cruiser brands have a passionate customer base who have put on approximately twenty rallies themselves in the last ten years that Gulf Stream has been building the products. With the tenth anniversary of the product approaching, Gulf Stream said it felt it was time to have an official Gulf Stream hosted rally.

According to the Gulf Stream chairman, Dan Shea, “The facilities have been used for day rallies, but the original design for the park was to host our customers on-site for overnight rallies in addition to traditional use for employee and dealer functions. This rally was the fulfillment of the vision for the Gulf Stream country club in Nappanee. It was a thrill to see customers enjoying the many amenities that our park has to offer.” Gulf Stream said the campers enjoyed using the recreational facilities including fishing, outdoor games, campfires and taking in the beautiful scenery of the park.

During the rally events, the Vista and Vintage customers could attend the Cruiser College where customers could ask questions about their trailers to the Gulf Stream production team. Rally attendees also had the opportunity to visit the supplier tent where various suppliers gave informational talks on certain aspects of the trailers. In addition to attendees learning a lot about construction and maintenance of the Vista and Vintage Cruiser, there were also other fun events. The Margret Ann Shea Pavilion hosted a sock hop complete with a live DJ, karaoke, a best-dressed award and plenty of dancing. On the final night, customers got a taste of Nappanee with a traditional Amish feast and authentic buggy rides around the lakes at the facilities.

Gulf Stream Coach said the greatest part of the rally was the comradery between the fellow Vista and Vintage owners, with customers having fun meeting other owners, telling their camping stories and showing off their decorated trailers. The unique nature of the Vintage Cruiser and its colorful design leads to many interesting stories of being the most popular trailer in the campground. Many attendees boasted about what an amazing experience the rally was. The Gulf Stream team said they were extremely happy to lay the foundation for the lifelong friendships that were built at the rally and further welcome their customers into the Gulf Stream family.
