Horizon Transport App Aims to Cut Red Tape

Horizon Transport has debuted launched a new mobile app the company says allows Horizon drivers to do just about everything that goes along with delivering an RV, truck or bus.

In a news release Monday (Dec. 5), the company said it had engaged a company that builds apps and technology specifically for transportation companies to tackle this project along with their IT staff.

The app took over a year to build and customize, integrating into the Horizon servers and allowing drivers to upload documents and photos directly to Horizon staff, store load information, see pay history, and even self dispatch right from the app. Horizon asked 14 drivers to test the app for a month to make sure everything worked as it should before rolling it out to the remaining 1400 drivers.

The testers praised the new app and it¹s ease of use.

“We’re really excited about this app because we believe it¹s an innovative step toward the future of transport. We know our drivers will love it and see actual financial benefit from the app.² Kyle Johnson, Director

The app is only available for active Horizon drivers, but anyone can
download the free app, learn more about Horizon, and even begin an online application with the company. The app is available for iPhone and Android in either store or at MyHorizonApp.com.
