TRA Certification has released its Green Certification checklists for RVs and park models.

The checklist is a points-based system where the manufacturer runs through the list to tally points or partial points for each item.

For example, a manufacturer is awarded 10 points for composite exterior, or up to 14 points if construction materials are recycled offsite (1 point for each material).

According to the list, minimizing an RV’s use of wood in construction, use of regional (within 500 miles) parts suppliers and use of recycled materials in the construction are among the biggest points for green certification from the company in RVs.
