Indiana House Candidate Supports Travel Trailer & Camper Tax Parity Act
Jamison Carrier, a businessman in the RV industry running for Congress in Indiana’s Sixth Congressional District, announced his support for the Travel Trailer and Camper Tax Parity Act (H.R. 3624) that was recently introduced in the House.
“The RV Industry is a driving force for economic growth in Indiana, leading the country in revenue from sales and manufacturing, with over 80% of our country’s recreational vehicles produced right here in the Hoosier state,” Carrier said in a statement.
“With my professional experience in this field, I am thrilled to see the Travel Trailer and Camper Tax Parity Act introduced in the House to fix the tax reform bill’s definition of “motor vehicle” for equal tax treatment for the floor plan finance interest deduction.
“This bill will provide equal tax treatment, strengthen competitiveness and support the growth of Indiana’s RV industry. It’s a win-win for Hoosier job creators and taxpayers.”
