Leaders of the RV industry have gathered for the week-long, Capitol Hill event called Committee Week and Advocacy Day, which allows networking opportunities and exclusive evening events with politicians.
More than 250 individuals will be in attendance with 120 taking to the Hill on Advocacy Day – a 30 percent increase from 2017, making it the largest event to date.
For the past 16 years, Advocacy Day has brought executives from across the RV industry to collectively spread its message on Capitol Hill.
“The lead up to Advocacy Day is exciting every year, but especially this year,” said Monika Geraci, RV Industry Association’s senior manager of strategic policy communications. “We have a packed policy agenda and 120 members of the RV industry who are ready to make their voices heard on Capitol Hill and at the federal agencies.”
Advocates will spend an entire day on the Hill meeting with Congressmen and women to discuss issues that affect the RV industry daily. From the impact of increased tariffs to the need for campground modernization and expansion to meet the demands of new RVers.
