Industry Leaders Unite for 2025 Park Improvement Event

Lippert Components announced its support of the RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) Emerging Leaders Coalition in its upcoming park improvement event. Co-chaired by Michilah Grimes, of Lippert, and Mike Gaeddert of Forest River, this event is scheduled for Thursday, May 15 at Bonneyville Mill County Park. It invites RV industry leaders and volunteers to come together once again to enhance public spaces and preserve natural beauty through hands-on service projects.

Coming on the heels of the Emerging Leaders Coalition receiving the 2024 NASPD President’s Award, presented by the National Association of State Park Directors, this event builds on the momentum of the coalition’s impactful volunteer efforts in Indiana state parks. This prestigious award underscores the RV industry’s dedication to community service and environmental stewardship.

Since its inception in 2022, the coalition has thrived thanks to the dedication of individuals stepping up to lead and participate in volunteer efforts — including the support from members of more than 40 RV-related companies who have contributed to the Park Improvement Initiative. With more than 700 volunteers contributing over 1,900 service hours, the coalition has built park facilities, repaired infrastructure, removed invasive species and improved public spaces at locations like Potato Creek and Chain O’Lakes State Parks.

“Receiving the NASPD President’s Award is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when the RV industry unites with a shared commitment to service and stewardship,” said Michilah Grimes. “It’s inspiring to see so many companies and individuals dedicate their time and resources to strengthening our communities and outdoor spaces. This recognition fuels our passion as we focus on Bonneyville Mill County Park, continuing the momentum to create lasting change.”

“It’s incredible to see how far the Park Improvement Initiative has come in just a few short years,” said Mike Gaeddert. “This collaboration is proof of what can happen when passionate people across our industry come together with a shared purpose. We’re not just improving parks — we’re building a culture of service that will last for generations.”

The Emerging Leaders Coalition was formed to foster leadership, community engagement and collaboration within the RV industry. By supporting state parks and outdoor spaces, the coalition enhances recreational experiences for RV owners while demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship and public service. This remarkable partnership highlights how the RV industry uses business as a force for good, creating a positive impact that extends beyond the RV world into the communities and natural spaces that enrich lives.
