Industry Members Form RV Women’s Alliance

Members of the RV Industry have gotten together to create a new alliance of women, as well as men, who will work towards a grass-roots, but formal organization dedicated to mentoring women in the RV industry. The newly formed RV Women’s Alliance will launch formally at RVX: The RV Experience, in Salt Lake City on March 13.

The vision, according to organizers, is to elevate the roles and contributions women are making in the RV Industry by promoting diversity and providing programs, resources and a collaborative environment for women who are pursuing long term careers in the industry.

A small group of women met during the RVDA Convention in November to talk about the launch of the program, and how to build a sustainable program for the future. The women represented a cross section of dealers, suppliers, media and association staff who were brought together for a common cause.

The Alliance initial founders include:

  • Chair, Susan Carpenter, CPG
  • Chair Elect, Jordyn Foos, with RV PRO
  • Secretary/Treasurer, Chris Fanning, SVP at RV Industry Association (RVIA)
  • Marketing contact: Monika Geraci, RVIA

Other founders include:

  • Judy Schutz, Dometic
  • Liz Crawford, RVIA
  • Jennifer Brauns, RV News
  • Sherry Shields, Pan Pacific RV
