Jayco Family of Companies, a leader in the recreational vehicle industry, held its second annual charity golf outing on Friday, Aug. 21 at Meadow Valley Golf Club in Middlebury, Indiana. The event, with over 150 participants, raised money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County. Attendees included suppliers, industry media, Jayco employees and other members of the RV community.
“Year two of the Jayco Classic was a huge success. With the $55,000 raised this year, it brings our two-year total to over $100,000 raised for an incredible local organization in the Boys & Girls Clubs,” stated Ryan Vogt, corporate controller for Jayco and the event organizer. “Special thanks to our twenty supplier sponsors as well as the numerous Jayco volunteers and individuals involved in making round two such a hit.
The event began with a luncheon, followed by a welcome address from Nic Martin, vice president of sales for the Jayco Family of Companies, and Dr. Tami Hicks, president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County. This was followed by a shotgun start to the outing at the Meadow Valley Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course, mixed with links style and tree lined fairways. First place went to the team from Tredit Tire & Wheel. In the late afternoon, following golf, awards were presented and prizes for raffles and giveaways were distributed to the winners.
“I would like to thank the Jayco team members, suppliers and partners who showed up for this event to further our support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Elkhart County,” stated Ken Walters, Jayco Family of Companies president and CEO. “The organization provides so much to our community, including numerous children of Jayco employees, and we are proud to give back.”
