Jayco Makes Personnel Changes

Jayco Inc. has announced key personnel changes taking place in the product development team for the Jayco towable group.

Matt Fisher has taken the role of senior director of product development for Jay Flight, Jay Flight Bungalow, and Octane SL as Amy Duthie has resigned after spending seven of her 22 years in the industry with Jayco to spend more time with family. Fisher was previously the senior director of product development for Jayco’s Luxury Fifth Wheel products including North Point, Pinnacle, and Seismic.

Jason Martin, a long-term Open Range employee and most recently part of the Highland Ridge product development team, has replaced Fisher as senior director of product development for Jayco’s Luxury Fifth Wheel products.

“I am thankful for Amy’s years of service and leadership,” said Brad Whitehead, general manager of Jayco Towables. “We understand and support her decision and are grateful for her many accomplishments.”

Whitehead continued, “We are very excited to have Matt move into his new position. Throughout his time at Jayco, Matt has had sales territories in different parts of both the United States and Canada.  He has great relationships with our dealer partners, engineers, production team, and suppliers. He is a natural choice to take us to the next level and continue the success the Jay Flight has had as America’s best-selling travel trailer for 13 years and counting.”

Fisher is a 13-year veteran to the RV industry. After coming to Jayco in 2006 to manage the JayPlus aftermarket service program, he became a regional sales manager in 2007. In 2016, Fisher was named senior director of product development of Jayco Luxury Fifth Wheels.

Martin began working at Highland Ridge, formerly Open Range, in 2007. He worked in various roles including director of operations and director of engineering. Most recently he served as the product development manager of Highlander travel trailers and fifth wheels.

“We are also excited to welcome Jason to the Jayco family,” Whitehead stated. “His knowledge and experience in the fifth wheel market make him an ideal fit to continue to develop Jayco’s Luxury Fifth Wheels.”
