Jayco Reports Towable, Motorized Retail Sales Jump in 2015

The Jayco towable division reported an increase of 32 percent and a growth in market share of 4 percent, while the company’s motorized division saw an overall increase in sales of over 40 percent and an increase in market share of 22 percent, the company said in a news release, citing Statistical Surveys.

The company reported an increase of 29 percent year-over-year in its fifth wheel sales division, where market share increased 18 percent.  Seismic, the company’s fifth wheel toy hauler, saw a 103 percent growth in retail sales and increased market share by 73 percent.

The Eagle brand of fifth wheels grew by 9 percent, capturing nearly 2 percent in market share, according to the report.

Jayco’s Pinnacle, part of the Luxury Fifth Wheel line, also made great strides with over 63 percent sales growth and an increase in market share of 51.5 percent.

“Focus on our fifth wheel and toy hauler offerings is proving successful by the way our consumers are responding,” Jayco Towable Division President Matt Thompson said. “We have product directors dedicated to their perspective segments, each with a tremendous work ethic and desire to be the best in every brand.”

The company reported travel trailer sales grew by 21 percent at retail, with the Octane toy hauler leading the way with a 122 percent increase in sales and a jump of 92 percent in market share. Jay Flight increased sales by 26 percent, while the Jay Feather saw a 16.65 percent increase in sales. The White Hawk increased by nearly 8 percent.

Jayco camping trailers saw a 28% growth in retail sales and a 26 percent increase in market share.

Jayco’s Class C models grew by 27 percent, capturing 7 percent of the market share year-over-year. The Redhawk retail sales increased 41 percent and a market share increase of 19 percent, while the Greyhawk increased sales by 37 percent and market share by 15 percent. The Seneca, Jayco’s Super Class C, saw an increase in year over year sales of 12 percent.

Jayco’s Class A gas models increased significantly with over 113 percent growth in sales and a 92 percent increase in market share. The Precept garnered a 93.6 percent increase in sales with a 74 percent increase in market share.
