Jayco has announced that Derald Bontrager, president and CEO of Jayco and its divisions, will be stepping back into managing the day-to-day operations with the departure of Matt Thompson from his position as the company’s chief operating officer.
“This change will afford me the opportunity to be back in a position with more involvement in the everyday details,” said Bontrager. “My focus will be on dealer relations, quality and customer service.”
Bontrager has been the CEO of Jayco since Jan. 1, 2013, and has served as its president since 2002. With this change, Jayco’s executive staff will report directly to Bontrager.
“We appreciate all that Matt did for Jayco and its divisions throughout his time with the company and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Bontrager. “We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationships that we have built over our more than 50 years in business with both our dealer partners and retail customers.”
