June RV Shipments Decrease By 11 Percent
The RV Industry Association has released its June survey of manufacturers which found that RV wholesale shipments finished at 41,990 compared to the 47,416 units shipped last June, a decrease of 11.4 percent.
All towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, totaled 37,784 units for the month compared to last June’s towable RV shipment total of 42,240, a decrease of 10.5 percent.
Motorhomes ended June with 4,206 shipments to retailers compared to last June’s total of 5,176, down 18.7 percent.
Year-to-date wholesale shipments are currently at 271,588, up 5.9 percent compared to this point last year. Towable RVs are up 6.6 percent to 238,502 units. Motorhome shipments are up 0.9 percent to 33,086 units.
Park model RVs ended the month with 287 wholesale shipments, down 27.5 percent compared to last June. Year-to-date, park model RVs are down 5.3 percent. This point last year it saw 2,112 shipments.
