CampgroundViews.com has partnered with KOA to showcase the futuristic technology currently being implemented at the Campground of the Future display at the RVX show in Salt Lake City. The company is providing a first look at its 360-video experience with augmented reality technology designed to help travelers to find the perfect place to camp.
“We are truly bringing the future into today with our latest iteration of the 360 virtual tour experience,” said Mark Koep, founder and CEO of CampgroundViews.com. “Think about the significance of good ‘ole camping being a leading industry in the virtual and augmented reality future.”
KOA speculates what camping and campgrounds will be like in another decade in its Campground of the Future RVX exhibit. Part of that experience will start before guests even arrive when they are able to virtually tour the destination and use augmented reality experiences to pick a site, view amenities and book their stay, according to CampgroundViews.com.
CampgroundViews.com has produced 360-video productions for more than 300 camping locations, including many of the National Park campgrounds.
“We live in a visual and digital world. When campers tour a property using one of our 360 videos they want the ability to be able to pick and book their perfect site—we are making that a reality today,” Koep said.
