KOA Launches Satellite Media Blitz
Kampgrounds of America has again kicked off the outdoors camping season with a satellite media tour, as it has done in past years. This year the tour was held at the Billings, Mont., KOA Holiday and connected KOA with media outlets throughout the U.S.
KOA President and CEO Toby O’Rourke spoke directly to news outlets in both live broadcasts and taped segments that will air later. O’Rourke’s message centered on the popularity of camping as the U.S. and Canada emerge from the effects of COVID-19 and governmental limits on business. The broadcasts also used data from the recent 2020 North American Camping Report/North American Camping and the Effects of COVID-19.
The segments that have aired thus far have already garnered more than 9 million impressions, with 13 more segments yet to air at outlets all over the country.
