Lance Camper Debuts Two New Overlanders
California-based Lance Camper debuted its latest prototype camper and demonstration vehicle, together called the “Adventure Pass,” in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center this week at the SEMA Show. The build highlights Lance’s new “Enduro” concept travel trailer, which is designed for backcountry adventure and travel to remote destinations.
The all-new Lance Enduro concept trailer is an off-grid capable, lightweight, overlanding-oriented travel trailer that measures 18 feet in length and weighs just 2,700 pounds thanks to its 100 percent composite construction, allowing it to be towed by most crossovers and small SUVs. The Enduro has improved off-road clearance thanks to Timbren independent suspension and Maxxis RAZR AT Tires mounted to Black Rhino forged aluminum wheels.
The Enduro trailer features a U-shaped dinette, queen-size bed, twin dropdown bunks and can sleep up to six people when outfitted with an optional RoofNest rooftop tent. The Enduro is fully self-sustainable, featuring two 100-watt solar panels, a 100Ah lithium battery unit, a 45-gallon freshwater tank, a 25-gallon grey water tank, an interior shower, cassette-style toilet and an outdoor galley-style kitchen. Additional comfort comes from a 12-volt Zero Breeze Mark 2 Air Conditioner and Truma Eco Combi+ Air & Water Heating System. For added off-grid functionality, the Enduro also features a nodirtywater MRX water purification system, a weBoost cellular signal booster and a 23Zero Peregrine 180 Awning.
The Volkswagen Atlas tow vehicle has been outfitted with H&R coil-over suspension and load leveling support from Firestone Ride-Rite Air Bags. Increased off-road traction is provided by 265R70/17 Maxxis RAZR A/T tires mounted to 17-inch Black Rhino forged aluminum off-road wheels. Performance modifications to the 3.60-liter Volkswagen engine include an aFe Power cat-back exhaust and cold air intake. Front Runner Outfitters’ Slim Line II Roof Rack was mounted to the roof and fitted with Pelican cargo cases while KC HiLites Flex Era™ Fog Lights were added to improve nighttime visibility. Interior modifications include Kicker Audio system enhancements, mobile mounting solutions thanks to RAM Mounts and Grey Man Tactical MOLLE webbing system. Exterior accessories include Toccoa Fly Rod Case, MaxTrax recovery boards and Front Runner Outfitters Cub Storage Packs and Stainless-Steel Camp Table. The unique vehicle wrap was installed by Daley Visual.
