Lippert Components has promoted Jose Cruz Medina to the role of general manager. In his new role, Medina will lead the team at Plant 91 in Elkhart and will work to manage production efficiency and growth of LCI’s marine industry offerings.
Medina started with LCI in 2007 as a driver and was most recently an assistant general manager for the company’s RV interiors. In his new role, Medina will be responsible for leading more than 400 team members to help achieve LCI’s strategic goals within the marine marketplace.
“(Medina) has impacted the lives of many families throughout his tenure here at LCI,” said Mark Taylor, LCI’s vice president of operations. “From building relationships, to coaching inside and outside of work, to becoming a trusted advisor for many, he has demonstrated what caring about people truly means. His operational instincts and ability to build strong teams makes him a natural fit for the next step in his career.”
“I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to help spread and drive what I have learned over the length of my career here at LCI,” said Medina. “Having a balance and a good understanding of efficient manufacturing processes and building a strong team culture is extremely important. By focusing on developing our most valuable assets, our team members, I believe we will surely get to the next level.”
