American Technology Components Receives Greater Elkhart Chamber Fairbanks Award
American Technology Components Inc. (ATC) has received the Fairbanks Award from the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce Business Recognition Council, recognizing the company’s new facility at 1147 N. Michigan St., Elkhart, Indiana, and its contribution to the appearance and continued development of the local business community.
The Fairbanks Award recognizes Greater Elkhart Chamber member businesses and nonprofit organizations for exceptional beautification efforts, including new construction, property renovations, landscaping and other improvements that enhance the community.
ATC’s new approximately 137,000-square-foot facility was developed to support the company’s continued growth while creating a workplace designed around both manufacturing capabilities and the employee experience, ATC said. The building includes expanded office, storage and production areas, along with large open spaces filled with abundant natural light and landscaping, plus an atrium and inviting areas where employees can meet, collaborate and gather.
“We wanted to create a space that supports the work our team does every day while also being a place our employees can enjoy and take pride in,” said Todd Yeoman, CEO of American Technology Components Inc. “Receiving the Fairbanks Award is a recognition of the thought and effort that went into creating a facility that reflects our company and our commitment to Elkhart.”
The move also represents another chapter in ATC’s nearly four decades of growth in Elkhart, the company said. Founded in 1986, ATC has grown from an electronics manufacturer into a vertically integrated engineering and manufacturing partner serving customers across the recreational vehicle, automotive, marine, agricultural, construction, heavy truck, delivery and transit vehicle industries.
ATC works with customers from initial product concepts through engineering and final assembly, producing technologies that include monitoring and control systems, command centers, switch panels, control modules, printed circuit board assemblies, wire harnesses, charging solutions, lighting and other electronic components and accessories.
The company has continued to expand its capabilities and product portfolio as vehicle technologies become increasingly connected and integrated. Its recent developments include advanced multiplex control and monitoring technologies designed to combine traditional vehicle controls with modern digital interfaces.
ATC’s investment in the North Michigan Street facility provides additional room for that continued product development and manufacturing growth while keeping the company rooted in the Elkhart community it has called home for decades, ATC said.

The Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce Business Recognition Council presents four Fairbanks Awards annually, selecting a quarterly recipient whose new construction, renovation, landscaping or other property improvements demonstrate an outstanding commitment to community beautification.
