Lippert Names VP of Global Quality
LCI Industries announced that Catherine (Catie) Grubb has been hired as vice president of global quality for its wholly owned subsidiary, Lippert Components.
Grubb will lead Lippert’s global quality initiatives, reporting to company president and CEO Jason Lippert. She comes to the company with more than 20 years of experience leading global quality strategies, with 17 of those years at the Eaton Corp., a diversified manufacturer of power management solutions.
During her tenure at Eaton, Grubb held quality and engineering leadership positions for several divisions, most notably the Hydraulics Group in North America, which spans 23 locations across the country. She was eventually promoted to global quality manager and was responsible for leading all quality functions within the global manufacturing strategy. Grubb also served 13 combined years in the military, between the Navy and the Army National Guard.
“We are excited that Catie is joining the Lippert team to help lead our global quality initiatives,” said Lippert. “Quality is one of the four foundational pillars that we will be building the future of Lippert upon, and we believe that we have the right person to lead this strategy in Catie. Quality is one of the main reasons our customers decide to partner with us and stay with us for the long haul. We have a lot of great initiatives already lined up including the reduction of complexity of our SKUs, focusing on retention of key team members on the front lines and reevaluating our auditing process at the customer level just to name a few. Catie has already hit the ground running with several of these initiatives and we’re excited to see the progress in the months to come.”
Grubb said, “I am really excited at the opportunity to join the Lippert team, tackling a role that spans to so many different products, markets and industries. Benjamin Franklin once said, ‘Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.’ I am ready to dive in headfirst and lend my years of experience of quality improvement to all facets of Lippert and am thankful for the opportunity to be part of its quality evolution.”
