Lippert, Taylor Made Debut Marine Line

Lippert Components, Elkhart, Ind., Taylor Made will showcase several new marine innovations at the 2018 International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) in Tampa, Fla.

LCI and Taylor Made will display several new marine products including the new “Sound Enhancing Windshield,” boasting the ability to enhance sound through embedded “exciters” that are placed on the windshield glass. A custom-built pontoon will also be on display in the outdoor section of the show, featuring the Pole-Less Self Draining Pontoon Cover, Bimini Top with Integrated Storage Boot and a Quick-Release Boat Top Mounting System.

The patent pending Pole-Less Self Draining Pontoon Cover features an integrated gutter system in the center of the boat cover, channeling rain and excess water to gather in the center and exit through the back of the boat. The Pole-Less Self Draining Pontoon Cover, a 2018 IBEX Innovation Award Winner, eliminates the need for poles to get rid of excess rain and won’t allow water to pool.

Taylor Made’s Quick Release Boat Top Mounting System is also a 2018 IBEX Innovation Award Nominee. Traditional mount systems utilize a two bolt pattern and do not feature lateral rotation. The Taylor Made Quick Release Mounting System allows for 360 degrees of rotation and one-handed operation. By simply pressing the mount’s exterior button, the mount releases from the single-fastener mount system.

On the furniture side, the all-new power lounger and captain’s chair will be on display at IBEX, showcasing the Company’s first-ever seating solutions to offer automotive-style comfort settings. LCI’s custom furniture capabilities will also be showcased with live demos from one of the Company’s seating designers, including live drawings and designs for all IBEX attendees to see.

Taylor Made’s OEM Fabric Division is also working to significantly improve on other motorized shade systems in the marine market. Designed with continuous innovation in mind, Taylor Made fabric and awnings feature a smaller footprint, ultra-quiet motor, customizable colors and an add-on rear shade panel.

Lippert Components acquired Taylor Made in January.
