Louisiana’s Largest Private Landholding for Sale, Including RV Park

One of the largest and most unique private landholdings in Louisiana will sell at public auction: 3,915± acres known as Kitterlin Creek, located in LaSalle Parish near Jena, Louisiana.

Assembled and developed by the late Homer E. Gahn Jr., this expansive property blends scenic beauty, wildlife habitat, income-producing infrastructure and deep family legacy.
This property includes over 1,000± acres of lakes and 12± miles of Little River frontage, a designated Louisiana Scenic River. From Kitterlin Bay and Fools River Lake to a network of trails and private boat ramps, the land supports trophy bass fishing, deer hunting, turkey and prime duck habitat.

The property features 45 deer stands, 11 duck blinds, food plots and 39 feeders — ready for year-round recreation or guided lease programs.

The land also offers improvements such as:

  • 902 Osage Drive – A 2,498± sq.ft. lodge-style home (built 2016) on the lake
  • RV park with 45 long-term sites
  • 24 mobile home pad sites
  • 29± acre nursery site (convertible to dove fields or campsites)
  • Large metal shop with office and living quarters
  • Tenant homes and cottage, boat ramps and road infrastructure

Revenue comes from RV and mobile site rentals, hunting/fishing memberships and USDA program payments starting Sept. 2025. All owned oil and gas minerals will convey.
Approximately 2,973± acres are under conservation easement, preserving the natural character while allowing continued recreation, timber management and income-producing uses.

Developed for family, friends and sportsmen, Kitterlin Creek became a place of purpose and legacy. Now, for the first time in decades, it’s available to the public.
