As a result of its strongest sales in recent years, Marathon Coach President and Owner Steve Schoellhorn announced a plan to increase production by 50 percent in 2015, with further growth expected in 2016, according to a news release.
“We’re very pleased with our 2014 results,” said Schoellhorn. “Marathon has had an exciting rebound over the last several years. We look forward to significantly increasing production in 2015 and beyond.”
Marathon, a privately held company, delivered approximately 50 new and pre-owned coaches in 2014. Thanks to strong sales and substantial customer order backlog, Marathon will further grow new coach production and staff in 2015. With planned production of 18 new coaches or more, the luxury bus converter plans to hire more than 50 people in 2015, weighted heavily in the first quarter.
Service centers at all three locations have experienced increased revenues with ongoing demand for coach remodels, service and routine maintenance. Marathon projects overall 2015 revenue to exceed $50 million.
