MDC USA Campers and Caravans announced the debut of its latest overlanding travel trailer, the XT19HRT Off-Grid Extreme Edition. After months of rigorous real-life testing in diverse environments, from Moab Utah to the harsh Australian Outback, the XT19HRT has emerged as a true overlanding marvel, proving itself in the most extreme conditions, MDC USA said in a release.

Designed from the ground up and purpose built to go absolutely anywhere, MDC USA has utilized appliances from trusted brands supported by its off-grid electrical system to ensure you can not only “escape with confidence but escape for longer,” MDC USA said.

The XT19HRT has 1,225 watts of rooftop solar, paired with 800 amp-hours of lithium battery capacity and 3,000 watts of pure sine-wave inverter power, all standard. With built-in auto transfer between the DC battery and AC shore power, off-grid power management is one of its biggest strengths thanks to the connectivity of the Renogy ecosystem, which allows users to monitor and manage the power system through cloud-based and advanced Bluetooth connectivity for 24-7 energy monitoring.

RVers will be comfortable year-round in the XT19HRT, thanks to the Truma Aventa air conditioner (which can be operated off-grid) and the Truma VarioHeat furnace. Water tank heating pads, water heater and toilet antifreeze capability, insulated water lines, wet bay with interior space heating, batteries with self-heating function and dual pane windows are all included as standard in MDC USA’s cold weather package.

“What sets MDC USA apart is our dedication to innovation and quality, backed by our commitment to ongoing and rigorous real-world testing of our products,” said Vaughan Hindley, MDC founder and owner. “All these off-grid features are standard inclusions with MDC as we understand how important it is to be well prepared. We also only use quality appliances from brands such as Truma, Thetford, Renogy, Cruisemaster, Norcold and Furrion to ensure our customers can escape with confidence.”

Making an off-road and off-grid ready travel trailer is no easy task, but MDC has experience and expertise in this space. MDC USA’s XT19HRT Off-Grid Extreme Edition comes standard with a lifetime structural/chassis frame warranty with all aspects of the chassis and X-TRACK Trailing Arm Suspension precision engineered and analyzed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software technology.

The interior of the XT19HRT is eloquently styled, MDC said, with design excellence taking center stage. The cabin features modern oak timber-style laminated bench and countertop finishes, sophisticated gloss, grey cabinetry and sleek black sinks, faucets, and fixtures. Wireless phone charging pads cater to the modern traveler’s needs.

The 6.2-cubic-foot Norcold compressor refrigerator/ freezer, external electric cooler slide, Furrion oven and microwave and MDC’s signature external kitchen with Thetford cooktop provide plenty of cooking options.

When it comes to safety, the XT19HRT Off-Grid Extreme Edition comes standard with back-up camera and Trail-Assure electronic stability control with asymmetric braking, which automatically disengages when you are off-road.

The XT19HRT’s exterior embodies a seamless fusion of sleek design and rugged spirit, the company said. This overlanding travel trailer’s exterior is adorned with large slimline tinted dual pane windows and elegant exterior decals. Going beyond aesthetics, practical functions like the rear mounted service ladder, external storage bays and large front mounted toolbox make this trailer versatile for long stays and cross-country expeditions.

MDC USA will showcase the XT19HRT Off-Grid Extreme Edition this November at the RVDA RV Dealers Convention in Las Vegas.

“We have listened to our customers and dealers and are excited to launch our best U.S model series yet, featuring exceptional off-grid performance combined with superior functionality and comfort,” said Hindley.
