Menon Joins JUCY RV Rentals

JUCY RV Rentals has appointed Hiron Menon as its general manager.

In this newly created role, Menon will oversee all U.S. operations and marketing functions. JUCY RVs feature all the modern comforts of an RV within the frame of an easy-to-drive minivan. They are available to rent out of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas, and recently announced delivery and retrieval service within a 50-mile radius of branch locations.

Menon has demonstrated success in building operations with a strong focus in travel, marketing and technology. He comes to JUCY from TripScope, where he served as co-founder and chief technology officer.

Menon worked with the CEO to set the strategic vision for the organization, including developing the product roadmap, heading the technology team, and managing all aspects of operations and talent acquisition, leading to the company’s acquisition by Travefy.

Before TripScope, he was chief operating officer and partner of A Hundred Years, a full-service creative marketing and communications agency. While at A Hundred Years, his client roster included TED, Smithsonian, Rockefeller Foundation, Atlantic Philanthropies,, NASA, and XPrize. Menon spent the first decade of his career serving in technology-related roles for several online-based organizations.

“Hiron has an impressive background of growing companies essentially from scratch,” said Tim Alpe, JUCY co-founder. “He has clearly demonstrated the ability to build the right infrastructure, to hire the right talent and to improve and grow operations. We’re excited to have him lead this next phase of JUCY in the U.S.”

Wildly popular in New Zealand and Australia, JUCY RVs are retrofitted minivans, featuring many of the amenities found in larger RVs, but with better fuel efficiency and easier maneuverability. With two comfortable double beds, they sleep up to four people and also feature a refrigerator, two gas stoves, a sink, and DVD player for endless entertainment. Their cheery bright green and purple colors stand out from the crowd and set the tone for an exciting adventure.
