MTI Industries President Jeff Wisniewski Dies
Jeffrey Wisniewski, owner and president of MTI Industries, manufacturer of RV carbon monoxide, propane gas and smoke detectors as well as marine gas fume detectors, fire, and bilge alarms under the Safe T Alert brand, died Saturday, Aug. 10 after a lengthy illness.
Wisniewski began working for MTI in 1991. Over the years, he participated in every aspect of the business, working as production manager, general manager, vice president and finally as president in 2009 when his parents, Tom and Sandi Wisniewski, retired. His proudest achievement was MTI’s patented RV dual carbon monoxide/propane gas detector, which became the industry standard for life safety products.
While MTI Industries will greatly miss Wisniewski and his leadership, the company said, business partners can rest assured that company operations will continue without disruption with Kelly Wisniewski as president. “Our new manufacturing facility in Tennessee is fully operational and a team is in place to assure a smooth transition, while keeping Jeff’s values and vision for MTI moving forward,” said Kelly Wisniewski.
MTI has served the RV, boating and residential industry since 1979, providing safety products to original equipment manufacturers and RV retailers across North America.
