Lewisville, Texas-based National Indoor RV Centers purchased a 170,625-square-foot facility it had been leasing, and a 5.6-acre site to develop a new 120,000-square-foot building in Surprise, Ariz.
The national RV company, which has five U.S. locations, made the moves as demand for RVs has stayed strong through the COVID-19 pandemic across the country, the Phoenix Business Journal reports.
The company leased the facility for the past two years, used for RV sales as well as service repairs, collision, body work and storing the RVs.
The company also purchased land adjacent to the facility for about $1 million from Camelott Properties with plans to develop a 130,000-square-foot storage facility. Both properties are located about 3.5 miles north of Luke Air Force Base.
National Indoor RV Center’s initial plan was to locate in both the east and west sides of the Phoenix region, but due to “great demand” for their services, especially indoor storage, they decided to stay in Surprise, said Chief Operating Officer Shaun Huxford.
